Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of iUniMatch. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use iUniMatch. Questions may be sent to support@iunimatch.com.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use iUniMatch. You may use the service only where doing so is lawful. If you use iUniMatch for an institution, you confirm that you are authorised to act for it.

Your account

Provide accurate information, protect your password, and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity through your account. You must verify that you control the email address used to register. Accounts may not be sold, transferred, shared to evade restrictions, or used to impersonate another person or institution. An institution badge means only that iUniMatch reviewed the submitted request; it is not an endorsement.

Acceptable use

You must not use iUniMatch to:

• break the law, violate another person's rights, or facilitate fraud;
• harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, or endanger anyone;
• publish unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, hateful, sexually exploitative, or privacy-invasive material;
• share another person's private information without authority;
• send spam, scams, malware, or unauthorised commercial messages;
• scrape, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, bypass security, or gain unauthorised access to the service or another account;
• manipulate recommendations, reports, engagement, or verification systems; or
• use automated tools except where iUniMatch has expressly permitted them.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give iUniMatch a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical display, and show that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies reasonably required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or content shared with others that they still lawfully retain.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that it complies with these Terms. Do not upload confidential material or personal data that you are not authorised to share.

Moderation and illegal-content notices

We may review reports and remove, restrict, or preserve content when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, creates risk, or must be handled to comply with law. We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts. Where appropriate, you may contact support to challenge a moderation decision. We do not promise to monitor every item of content.

Anyone can use the illegal-content notice form. Signed-in users can report specific profiles, feed content, forum content, and private messages. Reports do not trigger automatic removal. We send an acknowledgement and decision, protect notifier identities where appropriate, explain restrictions to affected users, and provide a free electronic appeal process for six months after the decision. No moderation decision is currently made entirely by automation.

University information and matching

University, programme, admission, grade, deadline, fee, and matching information is provided for general guidance. Data can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Matches and scores are estimates, not guarantees of eligibility, admission, funding, visas, or academic outcomes. Always verify important information directly with the relevant university and official authorities before making a decision or paying money.

iUniMatch is not a university, admissions authority, immigration adviser, or professional educational adviser. Universities remain solely responsible for their admission decisions.

Our service and intellectual property

The iUniMatch name, branding, software, interface, and original site materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of iUniMatch materials. Third-party names and materials remain the property of their owners.

Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, safety, legal, or operational reasons. We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free availability. Keep your own copy of information you cannot afford to lose.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights. To the extent allowed by law, iUniMatch is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, decisions made from university information or recommendations, user conduct or content, third-party services, or events outside reasonable control.

Ending use

You may stop using iUniMatch at any time and may request account deletion through support@iunimatch.com. Provisions that by their nature should continue—such as ownership, lawful preservation, disclaimers, and dispute terms—survive termination.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed and how to exercise data-protection rights.

Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law, including European Union and national consumer-protection rules where they apply. Nothing in these Terms deprives consumers of mandatory protections provided by applicable law. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. Any dispute may be brought before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be identified by a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, an additional notice. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them where permitted by law.
